Me and my friend @Frankie Light went to Jamaica (the neighborhood in NYC, not the country) and spoke some Jamaican patois (or Jamaican creole), which is the national language of Jamaica. It’s based on English but it is a separate language, and you can learn to speak it just like any other language. Here in Jamaica, Queens we got some classic Jamaican food like patties, jerk chicken, and ackee and saltfish, and people were really surprised to see a white guy speaking Jamaican patois! And this was also my first time as an American trying Jamaican food, and I loved everything!
