Garment industry is the main source of export income of Bangladesh. A huge employment market has sprung up around this promising sector. The garment industry has become the main driving force of the country's economy. The role of readymade garment industry in the country's export trade is significant. The lion's share of export earnings comes from this industrial sector. The contribution of the readymade garment industry to national economic development, reduction of unemployment pressure through creation of more jobs and improvement of living standards through greater economic prosperity is undeniable. The garment industry, the backbone of economic and social activities in this country, is plagued with various problems today. In order to survive in the competitive world market, the garment industry of Bangladesh has to go a long way. And for this, of course, proper planning, policy and government patronage are very important. Today's small effort of Garments Guide Line BD with this objective in mind. তৈরি পোশাক শিল্প বাংলাদেশের রপ্তানি আয়ের প্রধান উৎস। প্রতিশ্রুতিশীল এই খাতকে ঘিরে গড়ে উঠেছে বিশাল কর্মসংস্থানের বাজার। দেশের অর্থনীতির মূল চালিকা শক্তিতে পরিণত হয়েছে এই পোশাক শিল্প। দেশের রপ্তানি বাণিজ্যে তৈরি পোশাক শিল্পের ভূমিকা উল্লেখযোগ্য। রপ্তানি আয়ের সিংহভাগ অর্জিত হয় এই শিল্প খাত থেকে। জাতীয় অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়ন, অধিক কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টির মাধ্যমে বেকারত্বের চাপ কমানো এবং বৃহত্তর অর্থনৈতিক সমৃদ্ধির মাধ্যমে জীবনমান উন্নয়নে তৈরি পোশাক শিল্পের অবদান অনস্বীকার্য। এদেশের অর্থনৈতিক ও সামাজিক কর্মকাণ্ডের মেরুদণ্ড গার্মেন্টস শিল্প আজ নানা সমস্যায় জর্জরিত। প্রতিযোগিতামূলক বিশ্ববাজারে টিকে থাকতে হলে বাংলাদেশের পোশাক শিল্পকে অনেক দূর যেতে হবে। আর এর জন্য অবশ্যই সঠিক পরিকল্পনা, নীতি ও সরকারি পৃষ্ঠপোষকতা খুবই জরুরি। এই উদ্দেশ্ কে সামনে রেখে গার্মেন্টস গাইড লাইন বিডির আজকের এই খুদ্র প্রয়াস । করোনা সময়ে জীবনের ঝুকি মাথায় নিয়ে গার্মেন্টস কর্মীরা অবিরত ভাবে দেশের অথনৈতিক চাকা সচল রেখেছেন । তাদের অবদানের জন্য আজকের এ ভিডিও ।
